Social Security Administration to assist with enrollment of newborns in Trump Accounts
The Social Security Administration today announced actions to help parents enroll newborns in Trump Accounts, which are investment accounts for children under age 18 established by the July 2025 reconciliation bill. The agency said that next week it will begin updating guidance for hospitals to include Trump Account enrollment information. SSA will assist states in modifying existing hospital forms used by parents to apply for Social Security numbers through the Enumeration at Birth program to include the automatic creation of a Trump Account.
